A trip to Bangkok is not complete without having sailed around in a boat or in this case, having dined on a boat.
Sirimahannop is a dining and event venue on the Chao Phraya River that takes you back to a rich bygone era of Thai trade and heritage. The vessel was launched by Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park and lets you experience the special vibe of Bangkok’s “River of Kings” while discovering a unique selection of gastronomy in a sophisticated ambiance.
The venue serves a large variety of international snacks catered to sharing from steamed Dutch mussels to Scandinavian Calamari. We tried out the fish tacos, popcorn chicken, and calamari. All were well seasoned and up the level of what is expected of a 5-star venue. If you are in Bangkok and plan to visit the Asiatique Riverfront, don’t miss out on this experience. The food, view, and ambience will make your evening unforgettable.
Location: Sirimahannop by Marriott
Price Range: the cheapest appetizer starts at 4€ for fries and a seafood basket costs around 25€. A dozen Frence Oysters can be ordered for around 35€, which isn’t too bad considering the location.
