Bali – Land of the Gods – is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world and this has its reasons. The island is famous for its beautiful nature, world class diving, nightlife, and last but not least – more resorts than can be kept track of. Jamahal Resort is one of them.

Located in the southern part of Bali, specifically Jimbaran, Jamahal is family owned resort that has a few but well designed pool villas. We stayed in their One Bedroom Private Pool Villa, which naturally had Balinese interior design. The pool was small but the room itself was spacious enough to make for a comfortable stay. The outdoor bathtub was a nice touch and you can request for a flower bath!

Because of the smaller size of the resort, there was no restaurant so dining was only offered as room-service. However, that doesn’t mean that the quality was lacking. We had a 6-course menu, which was prepared quickly and brought to our room. Soup, fried rice, grilled prawns, and summer rolls – what’s not to love?

Spa

Again, due to the small size of the resort, the spa consisted of only a room with two table but “less is more” really is the case here. We had massage almost every day on our Bali trip from cheap to expensive but the two masseuses here knew what they were doing.

Jamahal Private Resort & Spa was the smalles resort that we stayed at on our Asia trip. However, the resort had its charm that would please a lot of travelers. One thing to know is that the resort is very very quiet, so if you enjoy peace and calm then the resort would be a great fit but if you prefer a lively vibe where you could mingle with other guests, then Bali has many other resorts to offer.

Update 19.11.2023: Unfortunately Jamahal Resort did not survive the tough times of COVID and is permanently closed
