Perhaps fine dining is not the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Israel but cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem actually do have a variety of fine eats that would satisfy the fine dining enthusiast. Although the Michelin Guide is yet to come to the country, some restaurants are already worthy of the sought after star.
Herbert Samuel, a fine dining kosher restaurant within The Ritz-Carlton Herzliya serves up Mediterranean treats that satisfied even yours truly, who isn’t a big fan the middle eastern cuisine. The vibes were relatively lively for a hotel restaurant but this may be due to the fact that The Ritz-Carlton is located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv hence not giving guest much choice in terms of restaurants in the area.
We enjoyed our dining experience here tremendously but if you’re not staying at the hotel I wouldn’t make the extra effort to drive here just for the restaurant. Tel Aviv has numerous restaurants just as good without the drive.
