Prominent museums, Port of Jaffa, and a young and diverse population makes the coastal city of Tel Aviv a fun one to explore. Being Israel’s cultural and commercial hub, the city has a decent selection of 5-star hotels to choose from.
One of the most recognized luxury hotel brands, The Ritz-Carlton, has a modern branch on the Herzliya harbor. Stepping into the hotel, you’ll recognize the classic Ritz-Carlton interior: timeless style with dark woods, elegant furniture, marble bathrooms, and finally the comfortable scent of marine mist blended with jasmine and aquatic flowers (yes, it is possible to smell luxury).
The size of the hotel is large and therefore prominent on the harbor. Featuring 115 guest rooms and 82 suits, there is a enough to choose from! We got their Duplex Suite which goes for around 800€ a night at the time. Needless to stay, we were impressed by the fine interior and overall vibe of the hotel. The hotel was well visited but didn’t feel crowded hence still maintaining the classy and peaceful ambient that we all appreciate in a 5-star estasblishment.
The suite itself had a bathroom and bed upstairs from which you have a view of the downstairs living room. The balcony was the largest we have seen in a hotel and has a magnificent view of the waterfront.
It may be an insignificant criterion to judge by but the comfort level of the bed and pillows are what we often look at we when reviewing luxury hotels. The Ritz-Carlton belongs to Marriott and we all know how great their pillows are. However, the only minus here was that the pillows were slightly too soft but that some people may prefer that – we just appreciate a bit more firmness to feel like lying on a cloud.
Nevertheless, if you’re visiting Tel Aviv and need an escape from the city itself, The Ritz-Carlton Herzliya won’t disappoint but prepare to dig a bit deeper into your pocket.
